Lately 40s vintage has been my particular focus in terms of hair and makeup. Vibrant red lipstick, curled hair tips, and delicate use of bobby-pins help to achieve the feel. An obsession with Humphrey Bogart/John Huston movies doesn't hurt.

Awesome necklace and the dress looks gorgeous too. Humphrey Bogart was an awesome leading man and Lauren Bacall such a surprisingly good match for him. She was only 19 when she first starred opposite of him...but she has the voice of a 40 year old! ;)
