Of Moons, Birds, and Monsters

Hope you like the pictures...Bretton and I accidentally stumbled upon this courtyard and I just had to blog it up. So many secrets to discover in this city...sigh.

Dress: Modcloth; Boots: Minnetonka; Cardigan: F21; Scarf: Somewhere in Italy...I have no idea; Tights: Target; Socks: Urban Outfitters

(I'm not as stealth as I think I am...he seems to suspect something...)

Very exciting news! The film crew of 'Burke and Hare' shot a couple of scenes in my building's courtyard! They hung props from my window, installed these huge fresnels (lights), and Simon Pegg and Andy Serkis used my common room as their green room! I was within feet of them at one point. It was all very overwhelming (hence the excessive use of exclamation points), especially for a Lord of the Rings fan such as myself. I was very tempted to ask Simon Pegg if he was cast as Bilbo, but I think obnoxiously smiling at him every time we made eye contact was enough. I can't wait to look for my flat when the movie comes out :D

Ne Me Quitte Pas

Shoes: Office; Tights: Accessorize; Scarf: Express; Cardigan: Target; Dress: Urban Outfitters (on sale! such a good deal); Earrings: Yard Sale Vintage clip-ons; Belt: Urban Outfitters

New shoes are courtesy of my parents for my upcoming birthday...or more like I bought them and felt guilty so informed them that they were to be my present. I dyed my hair all on my own, as you can see...though it's only the over-the-counter 6 week stuff so slightly less scary, but I like it. A little change is always good, even if it doesn't last.

I just got back from a weekend trip to Paris with Bretton. It was just lovely, and I got to see my good friend Kate, visit Versailles, and spend a day chatting under a space heater at a variety of cafes. Life doesn't get much better.

Still time to vote on Wendy bun's hat...seems like the bonnet is gonna win, which I have to say, I did not expect.

Together and Tethered

I'm feeling very much like a European student today. Unfortunately, that was about all the red I had to demonstrate my festive-ness.

Shoes: H&M; Dress/Purse/Socks: Urban Outfitters; Tights/Shirt: Target; Sweater: Italy (no idea where); Scarf: Scottish cashmere (so many touristy shops have them...it's actually Brett's); Necklace: Berlin Fair

Happy Valentine's Day all! I'm looking forward to a lovely steak dinner and a movie. It really alleviates the stress I once certainly shared with most people over this holiday...now I can just relax and enjoy it with my best friend.

My apologies for the delay in posting...my father came to visit me and I was having way too much fun to consider any of my blogging responsibilities (or any responsibilities for that matter).

Only a short time left to vote for Wendy's next hat! I'd love to see what you think...
