Today I showcase perhaps my most vintage blog ensemble yet. The earrings, the clutch, the brooch, and, of course, the Emilio Pucci dress all come together to create an interesting amalgamation of 50s, 60s, and 70s chic (dramatic liquid liner included). Throw in some spankin' new brogues and a blazer and here we have it: vintage glitz with a modern twist.
The dress was a remarkably rare find which my mother picked up for me on a visit with her favorite jewelry supplier, Donna Soodalter-Toman. To step into Donna's living room where she displays her extensive and elaborate collection of jewelry, with pieces spanning over a century, is a unique experience indeed. From Victorian costume jewelry, to art nouveau, to dramatic 80s brooches, Donna has it all. Not to mention the promise of a fair price and good service. It is well worth the trek to her homestead outside Boston even to simply browse what could be considered a personal fashion museum. Or, I might add, just to see what Donna herself is sporting. She's an icon for the ages.
