The Highlands and the Isle of Skye

During our last week in Scotland, Bretton and I took a three day trip into the Highlands and up to the Isle of Skye. It was like entering a different world entirely. We did take a tour, which is NOT my style, but renting a car was just too expensive because we're under twenty five. We'll have to do it again in a few years. I'm just going to let the pictures speak for themselves. I wish I'd captured Nessie when we went to Loch Ness, but she was being a bit shy.

Now that I'm home in New England, it's very emotional for me to look at these pictures. Scotland will always be my home, and I know I'll be trying to find a way back for the rest of my life. I'm happy to be back with my parents and my bunny, but...I mean...it's Scotland, for Christ's sake.

this reminds me a LOT of ireland, which is one of my favorite places that I have gone. Don't you just love that green? I remember thinking there was magic in the air in that part of the world :)
